Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 26, 2026

This policy describes what data peekthelink collects, why, and what your rights are. Plain English, no dark patterns.

1. Data we collect

If you sign up

  • Email address. Used to sign you in and send security notifications. We never sell or share it.
  • Profile info you choose to add: username, display name, bio, avatar photo, theme, and your links. All of this is public on your peekthelink page.
  • Google account info if you sign in with Google — only your name, email address, and profile picture URL.

When someone visits your page or clicks a link

  • Country (e.g. “US”, “DE”), provided by Cloudflare from the visitor's network.
  • Referring website hostname (e.g. “instagram.com”), if the visitor came from one.
  • A daily-rotating hashed bucket derived from the visitor's IP address + user agent. This lets us count unique visitors for that day without storing the IP itself. The hash can't be reversed back to a person.

We do not set tracking cookies on visitors, do not use third-party analytics, and do not store IP addresses or user agents.

2. How we use data

  • To run the Service (your page wouldn't exist without your profile data).
  • To show you analytics about your page (clicks, uniques, countries).
  • To detect abuse and fight spam.
  • To send you account-related emails (sign-in links, security notices).

We do not sell your data, train AI models on it, or send marketing emails without your explicit opt-in.

3. Where data lives

Account data and analytics are stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS, typically in us-east). Pages are served from Cloudflare's edge network worldwide. Photos you upload are stored in Supabase Storage and served via Supabase's CDN.

4. Your rights (GDPR, CCPA, and friends)

  • Access & export. You can export all your data anytime from the dashboard (Settings → Export data).
  • Deletion. Settings → Delete account permanently removes your profile, links, photos, and analytics. We can't undo this.
  • Correction. Edit your profile and links anytime in the dashboard.
  • Complaints. If you're in the EU/UK you can file a complaint with your local data protection authority.

5. Children

peekthelink isn't intended for children under 13 (or 16 in the EU). If you believe a child has signed up, report it and we'll remove the account.

6. Changes to this policy

We'll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page when we change anything material. Substantial changes will also be announced on peekthelink.com.

7. Contact

Privacy questions: email privacy@peekthelink.com.

This is a plain-English Privacy Policy template; it is not legal advice. Have a lawyer in your jurisdiction review before relying on it, especially if you collect payments or process data of EU residents.
